Microsoft have announced it's new web browser and it is to be called Internet Explorer 8. Whilst currently in development and without a definite release date, it is touted to have better security, reliability and Web Standards support.
It is already reportedly to have passed the Acid2 test, a tough test page that shows if web browsers support Web Standards and display pages correctly. Older versions of IE do not fully support Web Standards.
IE8 joins Opera 9 web browsers to support the Acid2 test.
